Getting to Work

Seventy-six percent of workers in the United States drive to work alone in a car, truck, or van. Another 10 percent carpool. Only 5 percent take public transportation, 3 percent walk, and fewer than 1 percent bicycle. In some areas, however, these less common means of commuting are much more popular.
