The civilian labor force is projected to increase by 10 million during the next decade, from 154 million in 2010 to 164 million in 2020, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But the number of non-Hispanic whites in the labor force will decline by a substantial 1,576,000 during the decade. The non-Hispanic white share of the labor force will fall from 68 to 62 percent.
