More than one-third of American workers do not expect to retire until age 70 or later, according to the 2017 Retirement Confidence Survey. Only 4 percent of current retirees worked that long.

Aged 60 to 64: 17% (37%)
Aged 65 to 69: 37% (19%)
Aged 70-plus: 38% ( 4%)
